⎕PW enhancement
Posted: November 17th, 2018, 12:44 pmI'd like to see ⎕PW enhanced to allow a 0 or ⍬ value to indicate that line-wrapping be turned off entirely. Sometimes I'd rather rely on horizontal scrolling to see my data more plainly, and its original use on a TTY-style device is certainly no longer necessary.
Also, with today's font sizes and wide (and multiple) screens available, ⎕PW=255 is often simply not enough, so I'd like to see its maximum value increased. Is there any technical reason it couldn't be set to something really large, such as 8K, 16K, or 32K?
