I have a brand new Windows 7 system, and guess what -- my old Windows XP solutions for getting the APL font to work no longer work!
Has anyone using Win 7 (32 bit) been able to get the font working in a DOS window?
I have versions 9 and 11 of APL*PLUS/PC. Believe it or not, I still occasionally go into old utility workspaces looking for something. (I suppose this query illustrates why I should convert the wss once and for all!) _________________ Rex Swain

I got this working with the help of the Paul Houle's APL bitmap fonts.
1. Download and install the fonts: http://paulhoule.com/stscfon/index.php
2. Open a command prompt window: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
3. Set its font to be one of Paul's "STSC-APL" fonts
4. Start APL.EXE
I then saved a shortcut with
| Code: | | C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c apl.exe | as the Target, so double-clicking the shortcut starts APL. _________________ Rex Swain
